Below you will find answers to basic question for our 2025 track season.

Are there try-outs?

EVERYONE is welcomed to join the team in both location. There is NO try-outs!

WHEN DOES THE SEASON BEGIN?

PASADENA: Monday, February 3rd

 

INLAND EMPIRE: Wednesday, February  12th

IS THE TEAM INSURED?

The team has general liability insurance through USATF

REGISTRATION PAYMENT?

Registration can be paid in full at the time of registration or payments can be split into 4 payments after a down payment of $150 is received upon registration.

PRACTICES/ TRACK MEETS?

PASADENA:  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

INLAND EMPIRE: Wednesday and Friday

Time: 5:30pm-7pm.

 

Track Meets will be on Saturdays for the month of March. Track meets will generally last for several hours beginning as early as 7:30am and lasting until about 6pm. This depends on the events your athletes are placed in. In April the remainder of the Track Meets will switch to 2days competing, Saturday and Sunday. The National events are held over a week-long period with the majority of the events beginning on Wednesday and concluding on Sunday.

AM I REQUIRED TO SPEND ALL DAY AT THE TRACK MEET ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY?

The team understands families' schedules for the weekend. If you have a specific request please indicate your request in writing via email to teamd1sports@gmail.com by that week Tuesday at 9pm. All requests will be reviewed by the Head Coach before the registration deadline. Understand that your request can affect your child's ability to participate in events/relays.

​WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE REGISTRATION COST?

Registration includes a track uniform, a warmup sweat-suit, and a practice T-shirt. The fees also include track meet entry fees for up to 3 events.

DOES THE TEAM OFFER MULTI-ATHLETE DISCOUNTS TO FAMILIES WITH MORE THAN ONE ATHLETE?

Yes. We offer sibling discounts of $50 per additional athlete.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE TRACK MEET?

Please be sure to bring snacks, water, and activities (books, games, homework etc.) for your athletes to last for the duration of the meet. Athletes are encouraged to watch the meet and cheer on their teammates. Athletes should not be freely roaming the facility.

IF MY CHILD ADVANCES TO THE NATIONAL EVENTS AND NEITHER PARENT CAN ATTEND, CAN MY CHILD STILL GO?

Yes. Parents are encouraged to secure travel accommodations ahead of time with other parents and or coaches.

ADDITIONAL FEES?

Parents are responsible for transporting athletes to and from practices and meets. All out-of-town/ state meets are the responsibility of the parents including lodging accommodation.

FUNDRAISERS?

Parents and families will be asked to participate in several fundraisers throughout the season. Fundraisers include but are not limited to dinner nights, team product sales, raffles, and co-hosting track meets. These funds will be available to help off-set those participating families with expenses for Championship expenses.
